Behind Astrelle
People often see 2020 as the year Astrelle began, but the truth is, this brand lived in the margins of my childhood notebooks for as long as I can remember. Growing up Kurdish, jewelry was never just fashion to us. It was history. I’d watch the women in my family get ready for celebrations, captivated by their elaborate dresses and the heavy, beautiful gold belts they wore. Those pieces weren't just accessories; they told our stories.
That feeling—the way a piece of jewelry can hold a memory or a milestone—stayed with me. I became fascinated by how cultures all over the world use adornment to mark their most important moments, and I realized early on that I didn't just want to admire this art; I wanted to create it.
Today, my goal with Astrelle is to take the warmth and tradition I grew up with and craft it into modern heirlooms for your own love stories.
